If you don't visit Jeju Island, you can't say to your friends that you've been to South Korea! Jeju is the best jewel of nature Korea has to offer with seasonally different faces and culturally unique images. I'm Lydia, newly registered tour guide here in 2017 and a licensed tour guide for customized private tour with 8 year-professional experiences, living on this beautiful volcanic island. This is my own pick for a comprehensive 2 days tour of Jeju island, allowing you to discover the main highlights of the island in 2 days. Jeju island is 3 times bigger than Seoul, so a 2-days tour could not be enough for you to explore the island. Basically, Jeju tour should go on 3 parts of Jeju basis : west, south and east, each of which has its own features and different faces. But through this 'Going around the Island Tour', you can visit iconic natural sites along with cultural touch and signature food, circling the island in my spacious and comfortable car. Background stories and technical information will be told at each destination. Often you may be bumped into by unexpected wonder and beauty of nature or warm-hearted locals. If you want, I can focus more in certain areas if you like! Just let me know and I will customize the itinerary to your desires.
Lydia was an amazing guide. She showed us all the important sights, introduced us to delicious food, and went out of her way to help us find delicious bakery and produce to take back to our b&b. She even drove through traffic to show us places we could experience on our own. This tour exceeded all expectations.
We *loved* having Lydia as our private guide for a 2-day visit to Jeju. There is so much to see on the island, and Lydia's itinerary got us to many of the most iconic spots on the island AND to locations and activities that fulfilled our personal interests and desires. She knows the island inside and out and was able to help us navigate the most popular spots without getting caught in crowd surges, and she took us to local places (restaurants, a market, trails off the beaten path, etc.) that you could *never* access on a group tour. Some of our favorite moments included purchasing Jeju tangerines, marveling at the fresh fish for sale and enjoying street food at a small village's market, enjoying the *best* fresh abalone meal near the Seongsan Ilchulbong, taking socks and shoes off and walking in the tidal pools on the beach near Geumneung, and enjoying literally the BEST black pork Korean Barbecue meal at Kogijang. Lydia was so good at keeping conversation going, allowing us extra time to enjoy the places that resonated especially with us, and helping us shape our 2 days to be filled with exactly the activities we hoped to experience. She is kind, thoughtful, observant, and attentive to everyone's needs. Do not hesitate to book Lydia for your tour of Jeju!
We spent a wonderful two days on Jeju Island with Lydia Park. She took us to the south and west side one day and to the east side the second day and showed us beautiful views and interesting places. She was fun to be with, with a good sense of humor. It was particularly enjoyable to have lunch with her both days as we tried Korean food and she explained how to eat it. Highly recommend!
Lyndia was a fabulous guide! She was attentive and modified the tour during the day to give us more of what we were interested in. She is full of local knowledge, and took us to some INCREDIBLE restaurants and local sites. We would not have enjoyed Jeju nearly as much without her help. Highly recommend!
Had a great two day tour around the island with Lydia. She is funny and giving tons of information during the visits of nice places all over the island. Due to the weather forecast we had to swap the days, which was not a problem. Did I already mention that she is a great driver?! đ
This was the MOST AMAZING 2 days. I was travelling with my husband, parents and 2 year old. Lydia made the experience in Jeju so magic and catered to a diverse range of ages and interests. The first day was a bit rainy and still we had an amazing time as she knows the island so well she can pivot on the go and take you to great places. We got to explore everything from beautiful sites in nature to culture and history. On top of this she is a local food expert with some of the best food eaten on our 2 week trip to Korea. If you have the opportunity to do even a 3rd day with her I would! On top of this she is a great photographer and makes sure you are not wasting time. Thank you for such an insightful, funny and all round excellent time. We will keep the memories with us for a long long time. If this is the only private tour you book in Korea DO IT!
