I’m a certified English-speaking tour guide based in beautiful Jeju Island, South Korea. Before becoming a full-time guide, I worked at a local history research foundation, where I organized historical field trips and gave public lectures, particularly on the Jeju 4.3 Uprising. These experiences have given me a profound understanding of Jeju’s unique history, character, and cultural identity, which I now love sharing with travelers from all over the world. I'm also passionate about outdoor activities — especially hiking and cycling. I regularly hike Hallasan, the island’s majestic volcanic peak, as well as many of Jeju’s smaller volcanic cones (oreum). As an avid cyclist, I’ve explored nearly every corner of the island by bike, including hidden gems that are rarely found in guidebooks. I’ve also taken my bike to Japan and Taiwan, so I understand both the joy and the challenges of international travel. As a serious foodie, I hold a Craftsman Cook Certification, and I’m always on the lookout for great places to eat. Jeju has so much to offer beyond its famous black pork and seafood — from authentic Italian and French cuisine to Thai and even Yemeni dishes — and I’m happy to share my favorites with fellow travelers. I strive to create tours that are engaging, thoughtful, and flexible, whether it's a hike through the national park, a cultural deep dive into Jeju's turbulent past, or a relaxing food tour through the island's best-kept culinary secrets.
