If you don't visit Jeju Island, you can't say to your friends that you've been to South Korea! Jeju is the best jewel of nature Korea has to offer with seasonally different faces and culturally unique images. I'm Lydia, newly registered tour guide here in 2017 and a licensed tour guide for customized private tour with 8 year-professional experiences, living on this beautiful volcanic island. This is one-day highlight for tourists who have limited stay on Jeju including cruise passengers. This tour basically lasts for 8 hours, covering the natural highlights in the southeastern parts of Jeju. The destinations are mostly UNESCO designated sites, but if you want, any places you'd like to visit could be added or replaced with sample ones. The eastern part of Jeju is less populated area with wide spreading agricultural fields as well as great local restaurants with a variety of unique menus. In the east, you can encounter the well-known and UNESCO designated human asset, Jeju's Haenyeo, women divers more likely, along with turquoise green ocean. Lydia is the most wonderful person and exceptional guide. Her knowledge of Jeju is extensive and her contacts and connections are excellent. We visited markets, beaches, Olle trails, fantastic restaurants and cafes and so much more. Lovely that she drives around in her minivan and nothing is too much travel. Do not hesitate to book her if you are in Jeju.
Lydia is great-knowledgeable, kind and funny. I had only a day and wanted to explore the islands geology. She tailored the time perfectly. We also saw the women divers and ate fantastic food—abalone and mackerel at a roadside restaurant. What I really appreciated was her curiosity. She is a rare gift. Thank you Lydia. Karen
I had the change to do this full day tour of Jeju Island with Lydia with my elderly mother. It felt like my mother had another daughter. The hospitality was incredible for both my mother and myself. We got to see so much of eastern and northern Jeju Island. As my mother is utilizing a walker, Lydia was able to focus on beautiful scenic areas that were suitable for my mother. Can't wait to return to Jeju Island again and this time tour other sights. She speaks clear and fluent English too.
Lydia is a very nice person and an excellent guide. Enjoyed her as much as seeing Jeju. Saw interesting sites, hiked to the top of volcanoes, watched the women divers, discussed K dramas and visited a filming location. Took us us to several excellent places to eat and helped us ordering local delicacies. Very helpful in communicating With our Air BnB host. Transport was easy. Highly recommend🙂
Lydia was Awesome! She is full of life and very enjoyable. She has her own private van that was comfortable and clean. She is knowledgeable and eager to share special places around the island. As I had a foot injury, she was always concerned and made sure I was comfortable. We had a long day so chose to return to the ship a bit early. We hope to meet Lydia again someday.
Highly recommend Lydia! She made our short time on Jeju Island perfect! Lydia is very personable and she knows where to go and what to do so that you have the best visit possible. She is also a good photographer and will get some good pics for you. I was totally blown away though, when she ran (and i mean all out sprint) to secure a table with an amazing view for us! I highly recommend Lydia.
