Welcome to the Garden Route of South Africa. I am a 100% South African, a country that I love to travel throughout, sharing the wonders of the country with tourists. It is my passion to communicate with people from all over the world. My passion is for wildlife, fauna and flora. My home area is that of magnificent coastal regions, inland to Afromontane forests and beyond the great Outeniqua mountains into the Karoo which I love to explore over and over. Experiencing the wild animals and birds out in nature in the reserves and interacting with the likes of elephant, ostrich and other creatures gives me great delight. I have a good knowledge of wildlife, birding, flora and fauna. I enjoy taking people to venues that offer tourists some good local experiences and activities, craft and good food off course!! Outdoor activities such as canoeing, paragliding, forest walks and more are always a delight. Kruger National Park is yet another region that I love to share during the months of May through to September. Kruger is one of the greatest game reserves in the world, home of the "Big 5", a place of beauty from sun rise to sun set, host to many animals, birds and reptiles. I am most proud to live in this beautiful region and would love to take you on a tour. Take a break on shore, let us discover where South Africa's first explorers landed. . . right here in 1488, Bartolomeu Diaz landed and found a freshwater fountain where they replenished supplies for the vessel. We visit the Bartolomeu Diaz Museum Complex to take in the history of the area and having time to post a card from the 'original post tree'. From the Complex we have a short drive to the Point where we shall have a picnic with light refreshments and eats while looking over the Indian ocean. The St. Blaize Lighthouse looks over the Point, and at the base, we climb up to the St. Blaize Cave named after another explorer Vasco da Gama in 1497. These fascinating caves have a history dating to as far back as the Middle Stone Age. Leaving the cave we alight our vehicle for a short tour of the town passing several historical buildings of interest before returning to the Mossel Bay harbor quay
Disembark ocean liner onto Mossel Bay quayside, meet tour guide - Lynn Short journey up Church street to the Diaz Maritime Museum Complex for an hour tour on foot Alight our vehicle and right into Church Street, left into Bland Street passing the old Cemetery on left. Bland left into Point we round the Point and stop at for our picnic thereafter the climb up to the cave. Departing the cave down the stairs, we re-enter our transport and continue left into Point road and join Marsh road to the left, viewing interesting buildings along the way. Right into Church street we enter the Mossel Bay harbor on right. Farewell to our guests departing to the ocean liner from the quayside.
