Hi, my name is Rosa and i'll be very happy to meet you in the Algarve, the southern most province of Portugal. With long years of experience and my certification as a tour guide, I'll make sure your visit to Portugal will be unforgettable. After leaving Africa where I was born, (came as a child to Algarve)i've always felt a great need to travel. It is to me as essential as reading a book. I love history, I need to know the past to better understand the present. Those were strong enough reasons to make me embrace the path of becoming a certified guide, a career that i've been building in Algarve for 33 years! I say building because a guide is like a walking encyclopedia, and we have to be constantly updated. I love the privacy of small groups, no doubt. On my tours you'll be comfortably seated on my own van, air conditioned, fully insured, and legally allowed to be with you everywhere in the country, outside and also inside the monuments. Only official guides can do so! And besides, a van can go to many places totally inaccessable by bus. However, may you need a guide and a coach for a bigger group over 7 people and I sure will provide you other transportation from 14 seater to 55!It is only a matter of availability and budget. My tours are designed to offer private versions of any of the trips available in Portugal or can be tailored to create a unique and very personal travel experience. Your Faro tour itinerary
Loule is a peaceful and unhurried town, but it comes alive on Saturday mornings, when two additional markets are held in the town. The focal point is the Arabic inspired covered market, with stalls selling regional handicrafts, local produce and freshly caught fish. Surrounding the market we find artisans, working with joy and hoping to keep traditions alive such as basket making, woodwork and pottery. We sure visit some at their working place. Within this delightful historic centre, is an ancient castle, the Gothic Igreja Matriz church and remnants of Loule's solid defences. The afternoon is spent discovering the secrets of wine making. A guided tour at the farm invites you to use all your senses, to turn up a 'conaisseur'and make you sound smarter about wine while enjoying the magnificent view of the mountains. Regional tapas, premium products from the Algarve mountains: goat cheese, smoked ham, chorizo are included. Remember:drinking wine, feeling fine! Please contact me for customization.
