My name is May Jony, I was born in the heart of the peruvian Amazon, a small river called NAPO, which is born in ECUADOR country and flows into the AMAZON river in Peru. I am the oldest of 6 brothers and 4 sisters and I left my village when I was 12 years old after finishing my primary and go to the high school in IQUITOS city but my family still live in my hometown which I am trying to help a little while I work as a tour guide. I had the chance to learn English in the school and now I am working as a jungle guide for over than 10 years. I offer Eco cultural, educative and full adventure tours with customized services and flexible programs especially designed for nature lovers, photographers, researchers, fishers, bird watchers, family and students. My over 10 years of experience and my deep love of the jungle and its inhabitants; the plants, the wildlife and the locals place me in the perfect position to introduce you to the AMAZON. I am committed in the conservation of the Amazon rain forest with social responsibility with the villages and people who help me to do it. I also organize workshops in schools to speech about the climate change (cause and consequences), garbage management (plastic recycle) because I consider to the education the best way to help to protect the Amazon nature. A once-in-a-lifetime eco experience to see wildlife and local fauna
Overview of your Iquitos tour
This tour is specially designed for travellers who want to have an authentic jungle experience with eco-educative, cultural and very flexible programs. You will have a natural eco-lodge with basic accommodation (private toilet and shower) as a base from where you will leave everyday in different directions in search of wildlife. You will do jungle trekks in the daytime searching for different monkey species, sloth, birds, snakes, giant trees and learn about medicinal plants. At night you can find tarantulas, scorpions, snakes, Anaconda, frogs, fireflies and other nocturnal creatures. You will also do boat trips, to look for iguanas, macaws, alligators, piranha fishing, pink and grey river dolphins, etc. I guarantee you a lifetime experience and teach you all what I have learned living in the jungle.
Your Iquitos tour itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from the airport or hotel then transfer to Nauta by car - A brief visit to the market to see exotic products from the jungle. Then get on the boat and travel to our-eco-lodge, along the way we will stop to watch the intersections of the UCAYALI, MARAÑON and the AMAZON. - After lunch we go to look for pink and grey river dolphins, swimming (optional) and watch a beautiful sunset. - After dinner we go to a jungle trekk to search for tarantulas, scorpions, snakes, Anaxonda, frogs, etc Day 2: get up early morning to watch the sunrise and birdwstching. - After breakfast we go for a jungle trekk, search for wildlife(monkey species, sloth, giant trees, medicinal plants. - After lunch we go out to explore while we find a good spot to fish for the famous PIRANHAS and have them for dinner. - After dinner we go by boat searching for alligators, anaconda, etc. Day 3: after breakfast we go to visit a lake with lily pads(giant aquatic plants) search for more wildlife. All wildlife in its natural habitad!
