Iquitos and its surroundings!

Walk next to your guide who will show you the Iquitos highlights and its surrounding! Get to know about the city and culture, old buildings where the city started during the Rubber boom. Visit a local market called Bellavista Nanay, learn about the exotic products which arrive everyday from the jungle and also watch the jungle gastronomy. Visit the Nanay bridge, the longest in Perú and have very nice panoramic sighting of the Nanay and Amazon River and also a little neighborhood, houses build on stilt with very interesting structures. Take a little boat and explore the Nanay River to visit Pilpintuwasi (butterfly farm) a very interesting place to watch wildlife like: jaguar, monkeys, anteaters, tapir, toucan, macaw and butterflies. Visit Macrodonto, a natural place to watch interesting insect in its natural habitat: Tarantulas, poison frogs, beetles, ants, taste sugar cane juice and other local drinks on the Momon River.

Meet your guide at 8 am brif sightseen of the city: the Main square, Iron house, ex hotel Palace, the Iglesia Matriz, river bank view, etc Then transfer to Bellavista Nanay market to see interesting products arriving from the jungle, then visit the Nanay bridge with interesting panoramic view of the rivers, afterward a boat and meet the intersection of the Nanay and Amazon river. At first we visit to Pilpintuwasi (butterfly farm), learn about the cycle of life of butterflies while you get to see exotic animals like: Jaguar, anteater, monkeys, birds and other amazon wildlife which were rescued. Then explore the momon river to visit the Bora tribe, an ancient family where you will learn about the amazon culture, traditions, dance, survenirs and interact with them. Ending the tour while we explore the Momon river we can stop to visit Macrodonto, a natural place where we can find different insect species in its natural habitad, Tarántulas, poison frog, ants, beetles, etc and taste local drinks
