I am a traveler. I have traveled all around the world. Alone and as a tourguide. I love to meet new people and discover new places. To share expierences and to connect to others on a personal journey. That gives me so much happiness in life. Evendo I traveled a lot Maastricht has been my home for 25 years. And as a local I am a traveler in my own city, discovering new things every day. Maastricht is a beautiful old city with a rich history that goes all the way back to the romans. You can still see the bridge, citywall and church from that time. Since 1500 it has been a place of pilgrimage and worship. Settled along the river the Maas it is so pittoresk and a very cozy city. The reason I moved here to study art. The city has developed a lot over the years and still is. The rich Industrial history we have here is also an important part of the city like ceramique. Those Industrial buildings are now turned into hip places. To eat and drink go to concerts and movies or enjoying the view of the city. Every year we have the famous international Art fair the Tefaf that is also a great way to combine it with a visit to the city and surroundings. Other special events, a concert of Andre Rieu in July on the Vrijthof in Maastricht, his hometown. Carnaval is a wonderfull colourful 3 day event in February, with costums and parades. If you are abble to visit in December the city becomes magical with amazing Christmas lights all over the city and its christmas market. Another thing I love about Maastricht is the beautiful scenery and landscape that is just a short distant away from the city. And different then the rest of Holland we have hills. Amazing landscape with small villages, road crosses, and caves. This is where the took out Marl to build houses from, that you can see along the way. I love to walk and bike. We can even walk to Belgium or just half hour drive to the spot where 3 countries meet. During WOII there was a lot of fighting in the area. Margraten has the biggist American cemetery to visit. Everything is possible. I am flexible and all tours can be custumized. I live in the center of the city. My education is fashion and art. Beside tourguide I am an coach and trainer of selfdevelpment. I love to go to the theater opera, dance and music concert. I love to celibrate life and laugh a lot. I am spontanious and open. Maastricht is a city best for walking. Tours by car I will be you driver. I am a safe driver since 30 years. I provid some special tours, - Show you an unique view of the city and feel like a local. -To be a pilgrim for a day and go on a spiritual journey. -To dive into the history or WWII I love to welcome you in my city - Tour guide experience since 2005 - Worked for dutch tour company for group tours abroad ( Kenia, Japan, India, Vietnam etc) - Guiding private tours in Holland sinds 2012 - Profesional coach (ICF) and trainer

Listen to your heart and it will show you the way. On this tour we will not only travel to beautiful places outside but also inside. This is an unique experience and also a spiritual journey. Maastricht has been an important pilgrimage place since the middle ages. On this tour ultimate goal is to reach Saint Gerlach. This place is also on the route of the famous Santiago the Compostella. We will start the day with a mass in the Basilica Saint Servatius to get our blessings and set our intentions of this journey. After the mass we will visit the treasure room, one of the most important sites of Maastricht. Here we will see beautiful relics and precious materials. We will light a candle and say grace at Basilica of Our Lady. And start our walk through the oldest Streets of Maastricht. Once we are out of the city we will be walking through the nature, to also come closer to our own nature. There will be, reflections, and silence. Enjoying the beautiful scenery until we reach St Gerlach. To find our treasure
Basilica Saint Servatius attending Mass and visit treasure room. Old city center, Basilica of Our Lady, Maastricht country side. Visiting Saint Gerlach church and treasure room. Walking from Maastricht to St Gerlach about 10 km. Please wear good shoes. We will have lunch on the way (pilgrims picknick) but it is also good to bring some water and snacks. From St Gerlach we will take the train back to Maastricht. Please note; On Sunday 10 am there is a beautiful high Mass with a choir, but not possible to visit the treasure room in the St Servatius Basilica. During the week the mass is at 9 am.
