Hola amigos! I am Susana, I live in Guanajuato and I love it here. Once I had the honor of working with the gray whales tourism in Vizcaíno, Baja California Sur; and from there I went to the south, the Yucatan bird festival "Toh" attracted to me. Later I fell in love with community projects at the state of Guanajuato when trying to push rural tourism initiatives, I still believe that we can do a lot to grow in this field. Before being a guide I am a traveler, a wanderer, and I like to see the world with my own eyes and I also love to appreciate my own city through traveling eyes. I am an accredited guide for Mexican Tourism Bureau. I think I am friendly, easy going. . . In this hike you can know the cultural riches of the region, and also we will walk along paths of natural appeal. It is aimed at travelers with a regular fitness and exercise taste for contact with nature. Live this adventure while enjoying a good chat and you hear old stories about the Old Royal Rod of Mexico. It's a hike aprox. 6 kilometers and the transportation is included. In case you are curious for alternatives or routes please let me know. I am from Guanajuato, I have experience in community work in conjunction with the rural locations we visit. I like learning about plants, trees and birds as well as sharing a little more of what we know with travelers.
A very enjoyable trip. Susana is lovely company and very knowledgeable, and she made sure we had a park guide (Braulio) who was expert about the birds. The Área Recreativo Las Palomas is a very nice spot, and we got a list of 26 birds including a couple of endemics. Strongly recommend.
It is very difficult for wheelchair users to get around Guanajuato. I am in a wheelchair, but she provided me with special arrangements for me so that I was able to enjoy the tour as much as possible. A lot of stairs and cobblestone streets, Guanajuato isn't nice place for wheelchair users. I knew there were a lot of places I have missed on my wheel. I still enjoyed with this tour and was pretty much satisfied with it. A+!
Susana is an excellent tour guide. Her knowledge, experience and radiant personality made our day fun and informative. She is very good at adapting her tour to our needs and interest. Also her English is very good. I highly recommend her.
