Martinique's 18th Century Road Private Tour

The North Panoramic Tour will take you through the rainforest.

We will be leaving Fort-de-France passing through the district of Balata where we will make a short stop to visit the Sacred Heart church overlooking Fort-de-France.

Our tour will continue through the road of the Trace created by the Jésuites in the 18th century, the tour will follow its route by making a stop at the Alma River.

The next stop will be in the town of Morne Rouge where (depending on the weather conditions) we can drive up to the Mt Pelée and have a panoramic view of Martinique.

The tour will continue towards the town of St Pierre, which was destroyed by the volcano in 1902. We will visit the ruins of the theatre and the prison cell of the sole survivor of the eruption that killed 30, 000 people.

I will provide you with sufficient basics of Creole Language (Martinicans' mother tongue) to help you interact independently with local vendors or shopkeepers (and don't panic : I will always be there to assist !)

PLEASE NOTE: Tour better to be done in the morning/early afternoon as many monuments and the central market close quite early. The cathedral closes at 11:30 am, the central market at 3:00 pm. On Sundays several monuments are closed.
