Konnichiwa and greetings from the land of the Rising Sun!! My name is Mitsuru and I do guided tours in pretty regions of Japan, especially around Fuji - Hakone - Izu National Park + Nagano state + HOKKAIDO - please see my multiple day Hokkaido tour! Since the pandemic, I moved to Kanagawa, next to Tokyo, but I still do tours there. Especially for those who will take my tours out of the capital. My most popular tours are road trips, so travelers can enjoy special places, not covered by conventional tours or by public transportation. I would like to encourage you to support smaller Japanese destinations outside of the big cities (out of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka)! As a travel enthusiast, I ended up in the tourism world and I love guiding people. I lived in QLD, Australia when I was young and have been to many places inside and outside of Japan and sometimes I meet my clients in their hometowns overseas! :) PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE BOOKING ANY TOUR, as I might be in talks with others travellers for the same desired date. Japan is a long country with 47 states with different climates from Hokkaido in the north (my favorite) to subtropical Okinawa (my ancestors land) near Taiwan. I have also visited different Japanese regions with a motor home during the pandemic. Every region is unique and they differ a lot according to seasons. My favorites are: 1) Autumn (Oct-Dec) and 2) Spring (Mar-May). Summer (Jun-Aug) is the toughest due to high temperatures and humidity. Travels can change people.. I believe in a new tourism based on E's": Educational, Entertaining with respect to the Environment. I am looking forward to meeting you and show you some beautiful parts of Japan! :) PLEASE KINDLY NOTE: * Travel insurance is NOT included in any tour, please have one. * If you have any FOOD or MOBILITY restrictions pls advise me. * WALKING is well involved in the case of TOKYO (approx. 15-20K steps). THANK YOU for reading my profile, have a SAFE and HAPPY travels!

Step into the mountains of Nagano in Central Japan! One of the largest state in Japan. This relaxing day tour takes you through snowy forest trails (winter season) to the famous Japanese Snow Monkey Park (SMP), where wild macaques soak peacefully in natural hot springs. Enjoy pretty landscapes, see their funny behaviors and a bit of rural Japan on the way to the SMP. It's high recommended to wear a hiking boat or any non slippery shoes, especially in the winter. We will walk approx. 25" min. from the main entrance to get to the bathing site. Please see that the wild monkeys are free and live in the forest. Normally they come to the bathing area because of the warm waters. But on summer time, the chances to see them up close are less probable. A stop for lunch OR picnic is INCLUDED.
This tour can be started from your hotel in Nagano city or Nagano Sta. OR from your hotel in Tokyo. If we start from Tokyo, we will visit basically the Snow Monkey Park (SMP), a stop for lunch or snacks. It takes about 1,5 hour to get to Nagano Sta. by bullet train. Then, 1 hour by private car to the SMP. If we start from Nagano, we will have time to see a bit of Nagano city downtown or a stop at some country area on the way to the SMP.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
For those in Tokyo, we will spend 1,5h (3h round trip) in the bullet train (NOT included) to get to Nagano Sta. Then, a comfort minivan or crossover from Nagano Station to the Snow Monkey Park. It takes approx. 1h (2h round trip).
