Nagano 2 Days Private Tour

Thank you, Eriko san, for a wonderful couple of days! We particularly enjoyed the fire ceremony in the temple and the dumplings roasted over the fire— we never would have had these experiences on our own! Obuse was a lovely town and the Hokusai paintings and manga magnificent. I really appreciate how considerate you were with my family — how you brought your aunt’s apples for us to taste and a special leaf to help with my daughter’s back pain, for example. It really did help! The hike to see the snow monkeys was challenging on the icy trails even for us Canadians — next time I would rent crampons or a walking stick —but well worth it. Spending time with these enchanting creatures, mothers nursing babies, is a highlight of our trip. You were great at navigating the crowds and zooming ahead to make arrangements and get us tickets! Happy New Year!

Eriko is a superb guide! Apart from her thoughtfulness and deep knowledge about the Nagano area, she helped craft an inspired day for me and my grandson. He gives her 5 stars, too, for an unforgettable experience!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our custom tour of Nagano and Matsumoto. Erika could not have been nicer, and was very professional and knowledgeable about the locations we visited. We also learned a little bit about Buddhism and Shintoism in connection with the temples and shrines we visited. The buckwheat noodle making was also a really fun cultural highlight of our tour. I highly recommend hiring Eriko as your guide on your next visit to Japan!

Well organized tour by a very charming guide. We experienced a lot in 3 hours. The fire ceremony and the sake visit were highlights. Eriko-san made two comments that were humorous and memorable: 1. Instead of going down the main street toward the temple with many shops on both sides, she guided us to an interesting back street, "Let's avoid the street of temptations." 2. When we visited the sake brewery, she said that she doesn't drink. "I don't need sake anymore to make me happy." Highly recommend!
