I've been working in the tourist industry since high school working at the resorts until I've gone on my own as a tour guide. Enjoy a fabulous half-day tour that will give you a glimpse of the life and culture of the island and the city of Montego Bay. Explore Sam Sharpe Square, which is now the center of the city but was a historic location of a slavery revolt. We will visit a haunted Great House with an interesting story about Annie Palmer, "the white witch of Rose Hall" You will see the famous "Hip Strip" where all the action happens.. You can also do some great souvenir shopping on the strip. Visit Rose Hall Great House and learn about the White Whitch of Rose Hall. This is a beautiful, historic mansion. We will venture into the city to see the day to day activities of the locals and also drive into some of the local communities, from the rural board homes into the mansions in the hills. We will even have beach time if you wish at the famous location of Doctors Cave, which is said to have healing qualities in the water.
We had a great time with Alrick on this tour! He was on time, professional, and very entertaining, and he even customized the tour for us so we could visit the Rocklands Bird Sanctuary. We also enjoyed seeing parts of Montego Bay that we woundn't have otherwise seen. When visting Montego Bay, I would defintely recommend hiring Alrick as your personal guide.
We really enjoyed the tour. Got a good introduction to Montego bay. Also enjoyed the tour to Rose Hall. Had a great lunch of Jerk pork and chicken. Alrich was very knowledgeable about his city!
We engaged this Tours By Locals for a 1/2 day tour of Montego Bay. Dale, our guide, was prompt, on-time and very knowledgeable. He takes great pride in his country and traditions. We toured the famed Rose Hall, residential areas, downtown Montego Bay, Hip Strip and finished the tour with a jerk chicken lunch with 'celebrations' at Scotch's. Alrick could not have been more friendly!! He made our tour very personalized in taking us places we wanted to go. Learning everything we did about Montego Bay from different parts of the city, the food and culture, and how locals live their daily lives was awesome. We were so comfortable with Alrick from the start we felt like we were being shown the city by a close friend of many years!!!

Alrick is the best! He is a real nice guy who knows a lot about Jamaica. He is also very patient. He took us souvenir shopping and waited for us for a long time. He also took us to this place where we could take great pictures of the ocean. I definitely give him five stars, and I will be contacting him again, should I go back to Montego Bay.
