We’ll start things off at one of my favorite woodfire spots—tucked away in the hills where you can smell the cooking long before you arrive. You’ll meet locals, see how real country meals are made (over an open fire, the old-school way), and enjoy dishes like brownstew chicken, curry chicken, brownstew pork, stew beef and boiled ground produce. After that, we’ll wind our way down to a local jerk stop—don’t be fooled by its modest look, this is where the magic happens.
