Gianni was a great tour guide (and an excellent driver!). His knowledge of Trapani, Erice, and the surrounding area was extensive. We really enjoyed learning about the history and significance of this part of Sicily. It is beautiful! Gianni was personable and accommodating, making sure we were well fed with the best pizza and adjusting the tour timing significantly based on our schedule. We really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend Gianni!
Exceeded Expectations! It is normal and expected for a guide to master the local history but, above and beyond, Gianni has a mastery of world history. His ability to relay/detail the history of Western Sicily in combination with relevant events world wide made my tour and takeaway a truly valuable experience. He clearly understood where my references where and utilized those assumptions of my experiences to enhance the understanding of many topics. Honestly, I am grateful for having crossed his path.
Gianni provided me and my wife a well organized and efficient itinerary based on our preferences for a full day tour starting and ending in Trapani. We decided to pay for a private tour instead of the group tours offered by our cruise on the Le Ponant cruise line so that we can maximize our experience around Trapani with the limited time we had for the day. Gianni did not disappoint us and he included an incredible lunch cooked by the wife of a vineyard owner whom he knew with a extensive seafood menu
- Trapani: historical centre with main palaces, churches, fish market, seasides area like Tramontana walkside, Torre Ligny area, some bakeries and other food and drink places for a street food experience. - Erice: historical centre with main palaces and churches, gardens, castles, Spanish district, main pastries shops for typical sweets and dessert wines, ceramic and other local handicraft shops. - To go from Trapani to Erice, and from Erice to Trapani, I will drive you in two different roads to best experience the two landscapes, one on Trapani, Saltmines and Egadi Islands, the second one on Mount Cofano with the northern western coast of Sicily. The itinerary will be either by car and by walking. I am a certified professional driver and a local certified historical cultural guide and it is a pleasure to be your guide while visiting the place where I was born either Trapani than rest of Western Sicily
