I'm Carlo, an authorized tourist guide for passion. I know Apulia wery well, having studied thoroughly its history, art, tradition, environment and curiosities. I was born in Apulia and always lived here, in a family that always cultivates the study of local history (a hall in the archeological museum of Brindisi is named after my grandfather). I have over ten year of experience as guide. I'm specialized in city tours but I can also make day trip outside the city. I can also customize your tours. Apulia is a charming region that can be visited all year round and is suspended among nature, history, tradition, tastes and spirituality. Apulia offers a wide range of places that testify to the ancient origins of this land: from prehistory to Magna Graecia, from the Imperial Age to the Renaissance and the Baroque splendor. The trulli, for example those of Valle d'Itria, offer an evocative testimony to the rural past of the region. My goal as your guide is to help you fall in love with this region. Please keep in mind that I can plan an itinerary according to your specific needs and wishes and before or after the tour I will be happy to provide you with necessary information and help anytime you need. Come join me and let's explore the amazing Apulia together! - Tourist Guide - qualified in Italian, English and Spanish - "Regione Puglia" Government License. - Law degree

This tour is special for people like me who love figurative arts and typical crafts. an extraordinary journey through the most ancient art, Greek ceramics from 2600 years ago up to the modern and captivating colors and designs. Grottaglie, located in the Taranto Province of Puglia, is famous for its 'artigianale' pottery, in particular: 'Pumi', bearded brides and household crockery! It is steep in history and tradition which dates back to the 17th Century. This is great so many Ceramic artists in one area. It is great because you can see the proces and the endresult. The artist have their studios ans shops combined and although there are a lot of artists with their own identity. Taranto is known for its archological museum: renowned for being one of the finest national museums in Italy, its artifacts assembly is predating back when the city was colonized by the Dorians from Sparta.
