Hi! My name is Elisabetta and I am a licensed Tour Guide of the Umbria Region both in English and Spanish. I was born in Perugia and have always lived here (from generations). And they certainly are a great attraction, but wandering the hills and the backstreets of Perugia's central rioni will give you the real feel of this fascinating city, which has elegance and edginess in equal measure. Known for its 14th century University, one of the oldest of Europe, Perugia is one of Italy's most underrated destinations filled with traces of an ancient past, from the Etruscans times to Middle Ages and to Renaissance, complemented by a host of new bars, cafes and boutiques. With one of the biggest historical centers of Italy, Perugia has an enchanting piazza with medieval buildings such as the Palazzo dei Priori, the Major Fountain, masterpiece of Giovanni and Nicola Pisano, and the gothic cathedral. . as well as an underground area which is not to be missed!
Elisabetta was an excellent guide for Perugia. She taught us so much about the history of Perugia and showed us examples of the Etruscan, Roman and Renaissance art and architecture. She also showed us places that we would not have found in a guidebook, both historic and an artisanal weaver’s workshop. We highly recommend Elisabetta!

Elisabetta was outstanding. She met us at 10.00 and her boundless energy and enthusiasm were still going strong when we parted company around 17.30. Fluent in English, she is very informed about Perugia, past and present. She was also very flexible—we were able to take in on the fly several sights that were not in the original plan but that she sensed we would find interesting. I would recommend her as a guide in a heartbeat.
