Overview of your Lucca tour

Enjoy with me a private historical and cultural tour of the charming walled city of Lucca! I will happily customize the perfect itinerary and I will guide you throughout its labyrinth of alleys and squares, making the best of your time. I am not a native of Lucca, though I have been travelling there since I was a little girl: my 'mamma' used to bring me to Lucca quite often, due to her love for the city and its treasures, besides great shopping spots. While attending a four year BA and then an MA Degree at Pisa University, I had the opportunity to learn about its history, cultural heritage and architecture. Finally, as a Licensed Tour Guide, passionate about local traditions, typical produce and gourmet food, I am always happy to find and try the best historical and popular places available in its historic centre. Book a tour of Lucca with me and you will not regret!

Martina is a great local guide. She is well known in all places in Lucca and also around Lucca. She shared with us a vast local knowledge of Lucca and we enjoyed her information on all the great sites. We highly recommend her for people being interested on the live behind the real locals!

Martina is amazing! She had great ratings & reviews - and having her as a guide on our visit to the town of Lucca, Italy was the best thing we did! She's very knowledgable on the history of the town, it’s architecture, culture and art. Everyone in my family was engaged for the entire tour! She does a great job with smaller groups and adapting your interests into the tour. We only had one day in Lucca - and Martina helped us make the best out of it. I highly recommend her to any Tuscan area tour.

Martina was an outstanding guide. Extremely knowledgeable and personal. We stopped at the oldest pastry shop and sat with coffee and had delicious treats which was delightful. We ran over our ending time due to our interest in Lucca and she was most gracious about that. I would highly recommend Martina if visit charming Lucca.

My parents and I have been wanting to see Lucca for a very long time, as my father’s ancestors were from there and we could not have had a better tour guide to see it for the first time with than Martina. Not only did she know the history of Lucca and had a personal relationship with the city, but she was so warm, welcoming and had a wonderful energy. She is clearly very passionate about what she does. And we got to see and learn so much about the amazing and resilient city of Lucca. Being in Lucca was a highlight of our trip and it was definitely to do with Martina and the tour she created. I highly recommend and I can’t wait to get to have her as a tour guide again!

A perfect half day in Lucca! We scheduled this tour very last minute with Martina and she accommodated us when our train had problems and was delayed an hour. Martina took us all over Lucca providing the perfect amount of information-- not too much but including the important facts and fun stories. We visited a lot of great sites and took a little break to try Lucca's famous buccatello pastry (and others-- I mean, if you're stopping for one, why stop at just one?!?) We really enjoyed our time with Martina. She's very nice, very knowledgeable, and very fun to be with. We would all recommend her highly to anyone wanting to visit Lucca.

Martina was a wonderful guide. She provided insights into Lucca that only someone who has been touring Lucca for years can know. Lucca is a beautiful city that has held onto traditions that give it personality and charm to match its beauty. Martina spent time getting to know us while educating us on Lucca. Our tour included history, culture, food, wine, craftsmanship and beautiful views. We loved our time with Martina and visiting lovely Lucca.
