Hello my name is Ivonne a Licensed Naturalistic Hiking Guide of Marche Region and National & International Tour Leader. After traveling for many years and living in Australia for eight (working in the Tourism Industry as well as Life-Guard at the pool) I returned to live in Ancona, where I grow up. I love working outdoors, in contact with nature, artworks and people. I am very passionate about my work! I am a happy person, dynamic without being invasive, easily adapt myself to new situations and the needs of the people who I lead. The transportation is not included on my tour, however, feel free to ask me for a quote in case you need a car and driver for the tour. Why you should choose to be accompanied by a Local Guide? I studied at the Art School then I worked many years as Graphic Designer until I moved to Australia and started to work in the hospitality field (discover my passion in working with people). I also worked as Life Guard in Australia so I'm trained for CPR. Then in 2012 I've decided to study to get the license as Tour Leader as well as Naturalistic Trekking Guide and since I got them granted I'm working and showing people the land where I'm from, I'm passionate about it. Overview of your Ancona tour
I have been an Official Guide of Conero Park for 7 years and I have been walking on these paths since I was a child so it's not a beautiful place for me it's also a place of the heart. The Conero is a mountain of 572 meters, which is located at the centre of the Adriatic coast. Here you will find 6000 hectares of the protected area containing a full 1/3 of the floristic heritage of the Marche region. Conero has been inhabited since the Paleolithic. For sailors and local tribes, its orientation as a peninsula was strategically important. The area and its surrounding land are seen from both the sea and from the ground. Greeks, Romans and Piceni walked on Conero. This itinerary is without uphill to ensure effortless enjoyment of the stunning landscapes we will encounter: evergreen forests typical of the "Mediterranean Bush". Conero is also the place where the Montepulciano vineyard grows, which becomes Rosso Conero, which grows only in a small area of the Conero between the hills and the Adriatic Sea.
Your Ancona tour itinerary
During our trekking tour we will see: • Portonovo panoramic landscape • Saint Peter's Church: A beautiful example of Romanesque of the eleventh century. Built-in the typical white stone of the Conero when Conero mountain was a place for pilgrimage. • Pian Raggetti: Viewpoint to the hinterland and the south coast of the Conero. • Rock Engravings: A slab of limestone with engravings dates back to the Stone Age. • Pian Grande: A natural balcony above Portonovo bay and enjoying the view that stretches to Ancona • The tour will end on the top of the mountain where you can stop to taste the local grilled meat and the famous Rosso Conero (it's not included in the price). There is also the option of choosing a fish menu. • Wine Tasting & olive oil tasting at the of the tour or on the way back stop at Enoteca (wine shop) to buy local wine. TO BE CONFIRM WHEN YOU BOOK
