Hello, My name is Ioannis. First and foremost, I just wanna give you a little background about myself and what I do. I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Santorini. Every part of this island reminds me of different times in my life, and specially brings me good memories of my childhood. Just like my grandfather, I used to collect grapes during harvest time, which were used to make a local wine. Also, just like my grandmother, I liked picking cherry tomatoes to prepare the famous sun-dried Santorini tomatoes. I even remember in my early years when I used to play with friends in Caldera's cliffs, with a striking view of the volcano which for me then was something very scary. The last 7 years I have offered private tours as an expert local guide. My main passion is meeting people from all over the world and sharing my knowledge of the local history and culture. I am a truly passionate professional and my biggest wish is to show you as much as I can of my island, making your tour something really memorable! BA in History & Archaeology, Artistotle Univercity of Macedonia Officially Licensed by the Greek Ministry of Tourism to operate a Travel Agency. I do not have a license to give tours inside the Archaeological Site of Akrotiri.

Join me, a Santorini's local guide, for an unforgettable journey through Santorini's most charming traditional villages. Together, we’ll explore the hidden gems of the island, delving into its rich culture and history. To top it off, I’ll take you to an authentic old cave winery, where you’ll savor the unique flavors of local wines. This personalized experience offers a true taste of Santorini, blending history, tradition, and culinary delights—all through the eyes of a local.
Begin your journey in Pyrgos, one of Santorini’s most traditional villages. Stroll through narrow alleys lined with whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, and vibrant bougainvillea. At the castle ruins, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the caldera, vineyards, and Aegean Sea. Optionally, savor a Greek coffee or baklava at a local café with stunning scenery. Next, visit Megalochori, a serene village rich in Cycladic heritage. Admire historic mansions, charming bell towers, and hidden gems like old cave houses and underground passageways once used against pirates. The colorful bougainvillea and rustic doorways create perfect photo spots. In Emporio, discover the medieval Kasteli Fortress and traditional windmills overlooking the countryside. Wander through Cycladic streets and experience the charm of daily village life. End your tour at an old cave winery, where Santorini’s volcanic terroir shapes its renowned wines. Learn the art of winemaking and taste local varietals, including the famed Vinsanto.
