Indeed, what I consider to be the more authentic part of the island is located on these three beautiful but also distinct little towns! - Pyrgos: Unique in every way with the scenic blue-domed churches and stunning panoramic views, Pyrgos is a maze-like town with beautiful spots. (Dur: 50 m approx) - Megalochori: Stroll the narrow paths & photograph the lovely bell towers along the way. Learn about the local slow-paced culture in this picturesque & non-touristic setting. (Dur: 40 m approx) - Gavalas Winery: Wine tasting at a family-owned winery in Megalochori village (approx: 1 h 15 m) - Castelli of Emporio: Discover Emporio, the island's commercial center during the Venetian occupation and the gateway to another era. Walk through the paths of the well-maintained castle built in the mid-15th century, and feel the lovely sentiment. (Dur: 40 m approx) * This itinerary can be customized to your preferences.
