Our family of 8 (including a 16-month old baby) took this tour with Nikos in May 2026. Nikos was so very friendly and engaging. His knowledge of the area kept us all interested. Even with the baby in our group, Nikos was flexible and customized our visit to be perfect for everyone to enjoy! Nikos even slowed our tour down and waited with us in the central square while our baby played ball with another child! This helped us all to keep our sanity and our little guy did not have a 'meltdown'! I would definitely recommend Nikos' tour to anyone visiting Nafplio!

This was an amazing tour. Our guide, Nikko, was truly gifted and incredibly knowledgeable. Church of Agios Spyridonas - where the first Governor of the liberated Greece, Ioannis Kapodistrias, was assassinated. Acronafplia – Walk through Nafplio’s oldest fortifications. Old Town Streets – Explore charming alleys and neoclassical mansions. Trianon - The Old Mosque Vouleftiko (Old State House) - The Parliament building Five Brothers Square - The five cannons that once protected the entrance to the harbour Kolokotronis Park - dominated by a monumental statue on horseback: the hero of the Greek revolution, Theodoros Kolokotronis. Waterfront Promenade – End with a gelato or traditional Greek coffee by the sea.

The Land Gate was built in 1708, by the French engineer, and succeeded the earlier gate dating from the first Venetian occupation. It was the only entrance to the city by land and, in fact, the gate would be closed at sunset.
