Lesvos full day tour

Lesvos is the island which gave birth to poets and muses. It's a place where Aristotle came to study nature and wildlife and thus the science of biology was born. Also it is the island which during the Trojan War , Achilles brought his ships and warriors to rest between battles. The name I was given is Achilles and from the time I understood the significance of my name and to be fortunate to live in this magnificent place, I started to study the history through books and myths of my homeland. Later in combination with the religious and cultural heritage I discovered many aspects of this beautiful place. I'm very proud and happy when I help people to get to know this place in depth and from the inside. Its no wonder that Petra and Molivos have become the most touristic places of the island. I will do my best to guide and inform you about the most important aspects of "Paradise Island", as the Ottomans used to call it!!!

Suggested Itinerary: • We'll meet in the morning and start our journey from your hotel • First stop will be at Kalloni Bay area for a small walk around the town and an informative discussion of 'Aristotle's Lagoon '. • Next we will go to Molivos, we will walk through the narrow streets of the town and then we'll go up to the castle for sightseeing and take pictures. • Then we'll head down to Petra which means 'rock' in Greek. Petra takes its name from a giant rock formation in the center of the town. We will visit the church of the Virgin Mary on the top of the rock, a 114 step climb. Then we will visit local market to learn about Lesvos food and to see an ouzo distillery. • Then we will take a break for lunch and if weather permits maybe a swim in the sea. • Return to the hotel end rest.
