My friend and I had the absolute pleasure of spending a day touring Lesvos with Achilles, and it was unforgettable. From the moment he picked us up — on time and with a warm smile — we felt we were in great hands. He knew I was descended from a Greek refugee who arrived in Mytilene in 1922, and the first stop was the Asia Minor refugee memorial at the old port. I was so moved, it brought tears to my eyes. He then took us to museums, a monastery, a petrified forest, an olive oil factory, and a wonderful lunch spot. One of the most meaningful parts of the day was visiting his own UNESCO-recognized village, where we met his lovely wife and got a glimpse of the real village life: the school, the cemetery, even their family barbershop. Achilles was full of knowledge, kind, and a very careful driver. We felt safe, seen, and enriched every step of the way. Highly recommend!
