Knossos Palace + Zeus Birthplace , Traditional Villages -Full Day Tour

Ed is a wonderful guide and host. We booked 2 tours with him while we were on crete and those days will be the best memories for our whole trip to greece. He will go anywhere you want but I suggest you let him decide. I felt like we saw the real crete. We had so many delicious fruits picked fresh as we drove along. Saw some wonderful old villages. The olive oil tasting was my favorite part, although the wine tasting was wonderful as well. It was a small winery, the owner was 4th generation. Both trips we took with Ed were the best! Ed is very funny, kind, generous and exudes greek hospitality! I highly recommend you booking a tour with Ed! In fact, book two if you have the time. Crete is beautiful!! And Ed knows how to show you all the beauty!

What can I say about Edmond??!! He had us laughing before we even got in the vehicle! He was not only knowledgeable but we felt the tour was personalized for us! He may do the same on every tour but to make you feel like you're the only ones who got that treatment is a very special skill! We enjoyed the olive oil tasting, scenery, windmills and even some handpicked strawberries with wine! It was a really FUN day from beginning to end and everyone in our group said he was our very favorite guide of our trip. No one will regret booking a tour with Ed!

I say this without exaggeration or hubris: This was one of the best days of my life, in no small part because of Ed. Our guy Ed was amazing. His knowledge, his patience, his friendliness, and his openness meant that he was able to navigate and connect with everyone from my politics and mythology-obsessed 16-year-old autistic son to my 70-year-old mother. It's impossible to tell the story of our day in a mere 3,000 words, and I won't try. But I will say that from the moment we all loaded into his exquisitely luxurious van, the first joke was cracked, and we were all set at ease for a day that none of us will ever forget. Ed was easygoing, hilarious, and insightful. He gave us enough time every stop that we didn't ever feel rushed, but somehow kept our desperate band of travelers moving. I honestly could not recommend this tour with Ed any higher. In fact, I would say that if you're going to Crete, and you DON'T schedule a tour with Ed, you are robbing yourself of one of Crete's finest national treasures. And if you weren't planning on going to Crete, well, you should change your plans and spend a day with Ed! Ed made us all feel like we were long held friends, and now, for the rest of our lives, he will forever be a part of our family's story.

Whatever your concerns are regarding booking this trip - forget about them and BOOK IT!!!!! Edmond (Eddy) is hands down one of the best people we've met in our life. Family of 5. Parents in 40's, boy (17yr), boy(16yr), girl(10yr). He engaged with every single one of us. He played trivia, his sense of humor was something we will ALWAYS remember, he took us to his favorite spots....we got to pick strawberries, go to many villages, old windmills, best views, etc etc etc!!!! As a native of Kriti, who else would you want as your tour guide? Edmond- that's who! How he was able to keep my 10 yr old daughter engaged the whole time was impressive. Now let's talk about that van of his. You want comfort? You want the best air conditioning after hiking to Zeus' birthplace (must-see by the way!!!!)? Unlimited cold water? Wine for the adults? Edmond has it covered. Best experience ever! Book it! It's worth the price and the full day experience.

Ed is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He is a native of Heraklion and knows all the right places to visit including wineries and restaurants. He is an excellent driver on the mountain roads. His English is excellent!

We had a great day with Ed and have already recommended him to family members that are heading to Crete next year. The tour was everything we wanted and gave us a wonderful overview of part of the island. We enjoyed being able to visit Heraklion and the Palace of Knossos as well as more rural parts of Crete. We tasted great olive oil, wine and iced coffee. Communication with Ed was also excellent.
