Let me show you the most interesting places in the heart of Lübeck. We will discover hidden alley-ways and walks while I tell you about the Hanseatic ligue and the history of this beautiful city. The heart of Lübeck - an island surrounded by river Trave - is part of the UNESCO World Heritage in 1987. One of the most impressing witnesses of former times. Gothic brick churches, a very special social institution such as the Hospital of the Holy Spirit or the restaurant of the Seafarer's Guild, the historical City Hall and interesting market place. There are two town gates left from former times such as the famous Holsten Gate - known from the 50 Deutschmark bank note for many of years. And last but not least we will taste the famous marzipan from Lübeck. The city bears a lot of interesting museums such as the Hanse-Museum and houses dedicated to three Nobel Prize Laureates.
