Welcome to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania - the holiday destination for most Germans in summertime! Between May and September you can imagine thousands of visitors here enjoying the most beautiful countryside - beaches, castles, history - a fine selection of highlights is waiting for you to be discovered. As a qualified tour guide (Chamber of Commerce, Rostock) I am specialised in guiding in English - other languages available on demand. I love to show you around some of our typical Hanseatic towns - Rostock, Wismar, Schwerin, Luebeck, Hamburg - the Mecklenburg countryside - Bad Doberan, Heiligendamm, seaside resort of Kuehlungsborn and the typical manor houses - Roggow, Gross Siemen, Buettelkow, gardens - Marihn, Siemen, Neustrelitz - and castles - Guestrow Castle, Schwerin Castle, Wiligrad Castle, Ludwigslust Castle. My favourite topics are history, social life and locally produced food - I like to invite guests to private houses for teas and coffees during the tours - time permitting. Maybe you are interested to trace your family roots then you can be sure I am the right person to deal with. I am very familiar with all regional sources of information like the State Archive of Schwerin enz. Please do not hesitate to contact me! Driving licence for groups up to 8 people, licensed guide for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (plus neighbouring Hamburg, Kiel and Travemuende) certified by Chamber of commerce, Rostock, university degree as social scientist, certified cruise manager, experienced traveller

We will meet right at the highlight no. 1 of Lübeck: The Holsten Gate! Located next to the Tourist Information Centre you will obtain a map of the city and might sip a coffee before we start. Let's walk together throught the gate as the old Hanseatic Traders did. Later we will walk right through the centre of Lübeck. Walking on cobblestones streets we will visit famous churches like St. Peter's and St. Mary's, visit the panoramic Tower of St. Peter's (by elevator of course!), and the Marzipan Museum of Niederegger (and get a sample of that treat! and enjoy the atmosphere on the market square with its impressive town hall. At lunchtime we can sip the delicious red wine bottled in Lübeck "Rotspon" and enjoy local dishes! During the afternoon you will have the opportunity to discover a few of the famous intimate alleyways of Lübeck! In total there are more than 80 of them and they are unique in Germany. Feel very welcome and let's soak in history of the old Hanseatic times dating back to the 13th century.
