Hello, I am Marco, originally from Italy but living and working in Maastricht since 2014. I'm a traveler and explorer, with my own travel blog where I also create itineraries and share them with the world. I guided many groups in the countries and cities where I lived (Italy, Spain & Netherlands) and I'm a curious person that is always interested in getting to know more about places. In time, I found several hidden gems not always known even by locals. If I'm visiting a new place with other people, I tend to become the one guiding them. Therefore I want to show the highlights and hidden gems of this beautiful region (Limburg), with the precious Maastricht, the hills, the picturesque villages, etc. I could even guide you to Aachen (Germany) and Liege (Belgium) if you wanted! I'm totally flexible to your requests - whether you prefer the highlights or the hidden spots, or you want to discover more about nature and be more adventurous, or you choose to experience the city like a local, with the cafes and restaurants. If you want to know more about the Roman heritage or discover the WWII steps in the area, I will be super happy to show you the best places and highlights. I'm an open, talkative, open-minded and energetic person that can't wait to guide you and meet your desires. I'll also share my passion and knowledge, plus give you the Italian warmth and personal touch. All to give you the best experience you could look for! All my tours will be custom made, specifically to your requests. Maastricht can be visited by walk but if you want to explore the area I can drive you around the picturesque villages of Limburg with half-timbered houses. You can easily combine these tours if you are coming for the main events in the city, like the world famous Tefaf art fair, the awesome Carnival, the food events, the Andre Rieu concerts in July and the wonderful Magic Maastricht in December. -Guiding people since 2002 -Degree in International Economics of Financial Markets -Master's Degree in Consultancy in the Insurance Industry -Consultant in the training department in a big logistic company -Professional life coach & reiki master I cannot guide to the underground caves.
