Hi everyone !! Here is some informations about myself you guys might like to know. . . I was born and raised in Toulouse (south west France). There I studied marketing as a young(er) man. I traveled quite a lot during my twenties (India, Australia, South East Asia, US, . . ), did many different jobs and went back to university during my thirties. Now I'm an independent licensed tour guide who loves to share his passion for Avignon and Provence. I am - of course - interested in so many different topics. But if I had to make choices I would say that History is a major one, Gastronomy (and more specifically Oenology) another one. Avignon being named the "City of the Popes" and "Capital of southern Rhône Valley wines", I guess I've picked the right place for living and working ! I think now it's time for us to get to know each other and share great moments. . Come join me on a walking tour and get yourself a real slice of Provence ! Cheers, Marc C. - License of national tour guide - Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 2 I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

I am a tour guide in Avignon since 2015, walking everyday in all of these narrow streets, and I never got bored! Avignon is a small/medium french city that offers such a large range of things to do and see. Together we are going to talk about History as we find on our way the Popes Palace, the Pont d'Avignon, the medieval fortifications, the numerous former private mansions, etc. Avignon being also the "Capital of Côtes-du-Rhône", we'll focus for a little while on local gastronomy and more specifically Rhône Valley's most famous wine appellations. You guys will be told unmissable informations about our place, and more : short stories, hidden details that even the locals ignore . . . Join me in this guided tour and have a taste of a True Provencal Beauty !
- As mentioned in the summary, the itinerary does include photo stops and commentaries in front of very highlights such as: - The Popes Palace - Pont d'Avignon - Rhône river - Rock of the Doms, etc. - We are going to see so much over a walk filled with shorts stops and shorts speeches. Of course I do my best to answer any question and give tips/ideas whenever people look for extra things to do, or places for lunch/dinner/wine tasting. The reasons why the tour would be cancelled or rescheduled are rain and mistral (strong wind). In those very rare occasions you can be sure that I'll consider any option we have to make it happen some other day.
