A lot of fun. He is high energy with a really laid back vibe. He keeps things moving and interesting without droning on for long periods of time. Really enjoyed our day with him.

Great way to maximize a day. We were able to experience the city center with its beautiful Christmas displays, visit the must-see library and churches, and enjoy local coffee and pastries before heading to one of the volcanic areas. Parque Nacional El Boquerón offered an easy walk to the top viewing points with well-manicured trails and great views. On the way down, we stopped for a quick lunch to try the local specialty, pupusas (similar to a quesadilla, but better!), then continued on to the Mayan ruins of Joya de Cerén. The excavation of homes and communal areas preserved by volcanic ash was truly impressive. Roberto’s driving and guiding were excellent—his knowledge made the roughly 9-hour day memorable, and it would have been hard to cut any stop. Communication and directions before the tour were also very clear and helpful.

Roberto was a great guide. He was on time, flexible and helped us with a custom layover trip. He provided comfortable transportation and took us to eat terrific papusa's. We did a lot of driving and he was able to engage all 5 of us in thoughtful conversation. He also acted as a go between to help us interact with the locals in a small town we were visiting. He even let me use his phone to make a call when I couldn't get mine to work properly. Finally, he got us to our lodging safely in heavy traffic.

My time in San Salvador was excellent - Roberto was a fantastic guide and local host! I had a one day stopover in San salvador and Roberto took me to most relevant places for me to see and enjoy and understand and learn and experience about his country. Roberto was on time in pickup, flexible and informed about which locations we visited (Boqueron, downtown, lookout points - main historical attractions...). He is also friendly and personable with excellent English. I highly recommend!
