Hello, my name is Fernando, I was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and lived my early life in between the Capital and the Caribbean Atlantic Coast. I studied Socio-Cultural Anthropology in San Salvador, El Salvador from 2004 to 2009. With an emphasis in Mesoamerican Cultures and Archaeology. I have been working in tourism since 2013, partly as a private tourguide and partly as a tourleader for Big International Tour Companies. I had a contract with G Adventures and I also worked for Intrepid Travel. I have run more than 80 trips through Central America for these companies. I have guided and travelled with more than 700 happy passengers in these trips. Due to COVID, I started working in an office for an International Organization , but I still enjoy working as a tourguide on my days off. I consider respect and tolerance are the most important values when travelling through Central America. Safety is also a top priority, the most important thing during the trip is to make you feel safe. I consider myself a punctual person Over 10 years as Tour leader for reputable tour companies in Central America First Aid Certification Open Water Scuba Diver Bachelor in Socio-Cultural Anthropology I love mountains, panoramic views and hiking I have no restrictions to take you around Honduras and Central America. Joya de Ceren is the only UNESCO site in El Salvador. Copan Ruins is also a UNESCO protected heritage of the humanity site. You can appreciate the site in company of a local knowledgeable guide. I can also take you to see the other part of Copan Ruins, the part that is closer to the surroundings and the nature. Copan Ruins is a great place for birding and for relaxing in its outdoors locations.
We depart from San Salvador, El Salvador at 8am in the morning. We drive 1 hour to arrive to Joya de Ceren, the only UNESCO site of El Salvador. Then we visit the Mayan site of San Andres, another important site in El Salvador. Then we drive approximately 6 hours crossing international borders until we reach Copan Ruinas. We arrive in the late afternoon. At night we check the town of Copan Ruinas and we go out for dinner in town. Next day we visit the Ruins in company of a bilingual local guide, we include the tunnels and the Sculpture Museum. Around 2PM we depart back to San Salvador.
