One day Out of San Jose City

Henry was everything you hope for in a tour guide-- knowledgeable, friendly, and organized. He was on time, knew exactly how to navigate the San Jose traffic, and made sure that we were back in time for our next commitment. We went to La Paz Waterfalls and spent time in the butterfly garden, animal sanctuary, and exploring the falls. Henry studied ecology and it felt like he knew every thing about every animal, plant, bug, etc. He kept our kids engaged and answered all our questions. Henry took us to a great soda for lunch (with a view) and then to a local market where we got local strawberries (dessert)! Henry's brother was an attentive and kind driver. We would HIGHLY recommend Henry to anyone looking for a day or multiday trip. We'll certainly be in touch with him when we return to Costa Rica!

Just a perfect day w Henry. This was a custom trip. Henry worked w me ahead of time to plan this day. I wanted to see and photograph particular places and things and he made it happen at my pace. We had La Paz waterfall the easy way, we had hummingbirds the wet cloudy way and wonderful views around every curve. Henry has a driver, which allows him to give us his complete attention. He is extremely knowledgeable about the country, of course, but also about the birds and bugs. He has great stories as well and very good English. It was a very special day . I have used Toursbylocal many times in many countries.

Henry was fantastic. He is an expert at spotting all of the animals. He knows the sounds of all of the birds and can locate them as well. He has a spotting scope and he took pictures of the animals with my phone. Excellent souvenir. The sodas were great and his driver should be a formula one driver.. great day with Henry. You will not be disappointed.

It was a day of spectacular and beautiful sights and sounds, and delicious food. Henry worked with me in the planning stage to make sure the tour met our needs and fulfilled our wishes. Then we had experiences that exceeded our expectations, all the while learning about what we were seeing from Henry, whose depth of knowledge is impressive. Highly recommended.

Henry is the best wildlife guide we have ever had. His knowledge and ability to spot things made our trip very special and rewarding. He found great places for us to hike, good lodging and transportation. We definitely recommend him for anyone wanting to see Costa Rica parks and nature.

Henry was the best! He showed his passion for Costa Rica and informed us of it's culture, people, history and nature. We spent 5 days with him and each day was spectacular.
