Welcome to Bogota! This is the capital of Colombia, located at an altitude of 8. 600 feet above sea level. Bogota has a vibrant atmosphere but still preserves its colonial historical centre known as "La Candelaria". During this tour we'll visit the main landmarks like Montserrate Hill from where we can have a great view over the city, the Gold Museum; a glance through the ancient precolombian metal work , Botero Museum; a Colombian painter and scuptor. Walking through the old neighbourhood. Cathedral, and Bolivar square. Please inquiry if you have any special request.
Nancy was a great tour guide and she customized the tour so that I could see things that were not included on my main tour. I especially enjoyed the huge market we visited. Bogota has so much to offer and we only had one day. Nancy managed to pack our day and organize a comprehensive tour that combined panoramic views, walking through different neighborhoods, key point stops, and museums. And tasting delicious local food too. She is knowledgeable of history, art and culture and we learned so much. Highly recommend it!
Pick up at the hotel, then head to Monserrate hill; view point and pilgrimage place, Gold Museum, Botero Museum, the old district of La Candelaria, and Bolivar's square, Cathedral. Presidential Palace, strolling through small streets in the old neighbourhood. Remark: the Gold Museum is closed on Mondays, Botero Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
