Hi and welcome to my profile! I am Franco, an enthusiast, passionate and independent local guide who has been working with travellers for almost 10 years. I have engaged with people from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South America! I graduated as an English-Spanish translator in 2017 and since then I have been involved with foreigners. I always keep in mind that every tour is an opportunity to show the best I can do and what I can offer to my group. Furthermore, as added value to my tours I also provide my guests with useful material about the city (flyers, photographs or leaflets) so they can have a quick source of knowledge they can tap to on their own. For me, the most important aspects of every tour are to make sure my guests feel comfortable at every moment, ensuring that their valuable items are safely carried wherever we go. I always encourage travellers asking me for whatever they're interested to know, as well as to feel open to request any adaptation or change they may need. I also love receiving feedback to constantly grow into providing increasingly better experiences over time. Feel free to contact me for more information about the tours I can deliver! I will get back to you as soon as possible!

Allow me to take you on a journey across La Serena, the second oldest city in Chile, known as the “city of the bell towers”. Together we'll take a deep dive into its history, covering significant milestones, iconic buildings and more! On this private tour, I will lead you in a discovery of what daily life in La Serena is like, helping you get familiar with our traditions. La Serena is the place where I spent most of my academic life and now most of my current working life. Over the years, I have loved discovering most of its hidden spots, streets, churches, museums and green areas. This city, founded in 1544 and remodelled in the decades of 1940 and 1950, has kept its colonial style but mixed it in with modernity from its downtown to the coast.
-The tour will start either by meeting at the Coquimbo Terminal Port, following the way from the exit ramp to the entrance (a blue metal door), or directly in your lodging. -Then we'll head to La Serena following the Costanera Ave., continuing on the Panamerican Highway and entering the city through Amunategui Ave. -Next, we'll reach the downtown area, a mixture of old & modern buildings. -Once here, we'll visit the city's Main Square & Cathedral. -Afterwards, we'll step inside the Archaeological Museum. -Following this, we'll enjoy going along Francisco de Aguirre Ave., an open-air museum. -Our final spot will be a 1950 Lighthouse; the symbol of this city, where you'll get to take the best photos of the day. - Finally, we'll return to your cruise ship or lodging following the Avenue of the Sea.
