Let's discover La Serena and Coquimbo together, the 4th biggest and most important metropolitan area of Chile, which contains some of the country's most relevant sites and landmarks. On this half day tour, I will lead you in a discovery of Chilean daily life, as well as decades of history, which is reflected on our streets, our buildings and our monuments. On a personal note, I was born and raised in this country, and have spent the last 12 years exploring every spot of its cities, developing a deep understanding of Chilean culture, as well as the habits and traditions of Chilean people. This tour of religious, touristic and cultural icons would not only be insightful for visitors but even also for locals due to the hidden gems and untold stories that will be shared. Feel free to take pictures and videos at any point you'd like, or even get souvenirs if you want. You are also free to decide how much time you want to stay on every spot we visit!
Your La Serena tour itinerary
-At first, we will meet either at the Coquimbo Terminal Port, following the way from the exit ramp to the entrance (a blue metal door), or directly at your lodging. -We will then head to the Cross of the Third Millenium. -Next, we will visit the Church of Guayacan. -Afterwards, we'll explore Downtown Coquimbo. -Following that, we will drive along the road to La Serena along the Costanera Avenue and the Panamerican Route. -Next, we'll explore Downtown La Serena and drive along Francisco de Aguirre Avenue. -Finally, we'll visit The Lighthouse of La Serena, before returning to Coquimbo following the Avenue of the Sea. *As with every Tours by Locals tour, this itinerary can be customized, so feel free to message me to discuss your preferences! *This tour wouldn't include a stop for lunch, unless you specifically requested one.
