I'm born and have been living in Plovdiv all my life except for five and a half years when I was studying Tourism management in Varna and two long summers working as a student in a hotel in Maine, USA. Overview of your Plovdiv tour

Rila Mountains with its highest peak Musala (2 925 m. a. s. l. ) are the highest mountains in Bulgaria and on the Balkan Peninsula. It is the sixth highest in Europe as well. Musala Peak is in the boundaries of Rila National Park which is the largest of the three national parks in Bulgaria. This is where I aim to reach on this tour! The trail to the top weaves through some glacial lakes with crystal clear waters. Standing on the top of the Balkans hikers are strongly impressed by the breathtaking views all around. One can easily see the rest of the magnificent Rila Mountains and other large Bulgarian mountains like the alpine Pirin Mountains, Vitosha Mountain, Sredna Gora Mountains with the majestic Balkan Range behind and the green and more oval Rhodope Mountains. Before booking this tour please check with the guide if the cabin lift is open on the given date! As a local and passionate hiking guide, it will be my pleasure to give you my recommendations
