Hello and welcome to beautiful Itacaré! My name is Leandro and I have been working in the field of tourism since university graduation in 2001. I decided to become a tour guide because I love surfing, reading, photography, traveling and especially appreciating nature. I worked at an eco resort in Itacaré, Bahia for 9 years. At this hotel I was certified to teach stretching exercises, yoga, and give surfing lessons. Two years ago, after acquiring that experience, I started working on my own in Itacaré. My passion is to share this wonderful environment with visitors to this region of Brazil. Itacaré is a locale surrounded by beautiful beaches, cacau culture, waterfalls and magnificent Brazilian rain forest (Mata Atlantica). I am happy to share the experience of this wonderful life so close to nature. Everyone is welcome to hike, delight in boat trips, and refresh in a waterfall, lull on a beach, or just breathe the pure sweet air of Mata Atlantica rainforest. It's possible to experience a sweet day walking among the trees and taste delicious natural chocolate from a local fazenda as well. My hobby is to explore this amazing coast and share this with travelers. We can have a relaxing day on the beach or hike through forest trails. I offer private tours in my Chevrolet truck which has space for fishing equipment, surfboards or anything else you wish to bring (for up to 4 people). When I prepare a tour, I always keep my customers' interests in mind. Overview of your Itacare tour
Tour drives to a trail from where we walk on a path and experience Mata Atlantica primary forestation while hearing sounds of water and surrounding jungle. We reach Engenhoca beach, frequented by swimmers and surfers both learning and practicing. It's perfect for a bath in its gentle waves or the warm river which ends at the beach. After a little time at Engenhoca, we continue walking to Hawaiizinho, another beautiful yet small but popular beach where locals make delicious tapioca. It's a place for another sweet bath. Our next walk along the coastal shore takes us to Gamboa, a deserted tiny beach but picturesque for photos. Our walk continues up a gentle slope opening to a vista of endless Itacarezinho beach. Once reaching Itacarezinho beach, guests have the option to eat at its fine restaurant in front of the sea or have a gentle long or short beach walk or swim. We drive from Itacarezinho to Tijuipe waterfall. most appreciated for its lush surroundings and warm waters.
