I moved to El Calafate in 2001 and very soon I started practicing mountain activities, including rock climbing, skiing, hiking and trekking. In 2007, I began to work in the mountains as an assistant guide in Perito Moreno glacier. I finished my trekking guide course in 2011 and then, in 2015, I completed the following course to become a Mountain Guide. During my free time I like to go to the mountains, visiting every corner of the National Park. That provide me all the knowledge I need to coustumize your experience to visit this wonderful and wild place. Today I really enjoy to hike on the trails guiding turist and sharing all the information collected a long the time. I am a official Mountain Guide of Los Glaciares National Park. I am Wilderness First Responder. I AM NOT ALLOWED TO GUIDE ON PERITO MORENO GLACIER.

Juan was an excellent trekking guide. He was very informative along our 15 mile hike to Laguna de los Tres Lagos at the base of the Fitz Roy peaks in El Chalten. He did not rush us and was so helpful to me given I had broken my ankle 2 years ago. He provided a delicious lunch too. We highly recommend Juan.
Juan was a fantastic guide who we would highly recommend. He observed the weather and provided us the best routes for each day we were there. We are a family of 4 with 2 adult kids ages 19 and 22. Our daughter loves history and asked Juan questions all throughout our trip about rock climbing and Juan was able to answer them all. Juan helped us to have the most amazing visit to El Chalten. Can't recommend him enough!
Wow!! Juan is just fantastic!! We are from Nee Hampshire, USA and in El Chalten for 2 full days. Juan designed 2 amazing days of hiking for us. The first day was to Ritz Roy towers and the 2nd day was to Cerro Torre. He brought us the most wonderful lunches, which were enjoyed while admiring amazing vistas. Juan knew a special place to start the Fitz Roy trail which gave us a fantastic experience with a lot less crowds. Juan provided us with fantastic history answering our many questions during the hike!
