I moved to El Calafate in 2001 and very soon I started practicing mountain activities, including rock climbing, skiing, hiking and trekking. In 2007, I began to work in the mountains as an assistant guide in Perito Moreno glacier. I finished my trekking guide course in 2011 and then, in 2015, I completed the following course to become a Mountain Guide. During my free time I like to go to the mountains, visiting every corner of the National Park. That provide me all the knowledge I need to coustumize your experience to visit this wonderful and wild place. Today I really enjoy to hike on the trails guiding turist and sharing all the information collected a long the time. I am a official Mountain Guide of Los Glaciares National Park. I am Wilderness First Responder. I AM NOT ALLOWED TO GUIDE ON PERITO MORENO GLACIER.

Overview of your El Calafate tour
On despite the long distance, it really worth it to vistit El Chalten on a daily tour leadead by a mountain guide. During the road we can appreciate the trace left by glaciers from the past and the transition betwween the steppe to the Andean forest. Once at the mountain village we accompany you for a short hiking on one of the typical trails of the area to provide you good information about the enviroment and history of this place.
Your El Calafate tour itinerary
We are going to pick up you at your hotel in El Calafate to drive 220 km. During the trip sorrounded by the beautiful Patagonian steppe, I can explain upon formation of landscape. On half way we usually stop to visit a nice old hotel called La Leona, this historical site is a very nice place for a couple of pictures and offers coffe and toilets. Once in El Chalten we do a little break for some typical pictures and then we approche to the entrance of the trail. On the hike we are going to stop at the most beautiful lookouts and we are going to take our lunch in the forest. After hike we start the way back to El Calafate.
