The medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, Tudor halls, Georgian estates and Victorian mansions, not to forget the landscape itself. From the Unesco Jurassic Coast, through Wessex where Thomas Hardy was inspired to write his enduring novels, the Royal hunting reserve of Cranborne Chase and the rolling plains of Wiltshire. My aim is to share my enthusiasm and to give insights into the iconic buildings, places and events with which this region is so richly populated and which played such a major part in English History. .
