Are you ready to explore the most beautiful destinations in Campania and all along the Amalfi Coast, learning about our ancient culture and savoring our beloved cuisine? Southern Italy is the ideal place to relax and recharge your body and soul, without sacrificing any fun! We have it all — history, art, nature, tradition, amazing views, a relaxing daily life and, above all, wonderful local food. My name is Michael and I am an Amalfi-based tour guide. I run tours for individuals, families, and small groups incorporating my passion for art, history and the old traditions. I can also share anecdotes from travelers of the Grand Tour and gossip about the movie stars and film directors of la dolce vita, who were drawn in by the beauty of the Amalfi Coast. I would love to show you our hidden treasures — the atmospheric alleys and squares, soaring churches and cloisters, inspiring archeological sites, and fragrant lemon gardens — all the quirky details that make a tour on the Amalfi Coast memorable. You will enjoy the magical towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, the daily bustling atmosphere of Naples, the fascinating history of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the stunning beauty of Capri and Sorrento, the breath-taking landscapes of Path of Gods (il Sentiero degli Dei) or the Valley of the Mills (La Valle Dei Mulini), and more. I was born in Amalfi and still live among the lemon groves, many steps from the main piazza. After earning my high school diploma at the Technical Institute for Tourism "Flavio Gioia" of Amalfi, I graduated from the University "Istituto L'Orientale" in Naples with a degree in English Language and Literature I studied fine arts, history, archeology and local traditions at the University, as well as at the Center of Culture and History of Amalfi. In 1995 I took part in the publication of two guidebooks to Amalfi Coast. A few years later I got my license to be a certified tour guide for the Campania Region. Because I was born and raised here, I love to take guests off the beaten track to discover some of the little known but authentic places of Amalfi Coast, towns like Minori, Tramonti, Scala, and Pastena, to name a few. I take great joy in organizing walking or trekking tour among terraced lemon groves, vineyards, and olive and chestnut groves. All of my tours can be customized to your interests and curiosities. My goal is to make your guided tour the most enjoyable it can be. Join me in a unique opportunity to live an unusual experience, basking in the glories of the Amalfi Coast! Licensed Tour Guide of Campania Region 2004 - AmalfiTourGuide Master's Degree in English Language and Literature - University "Istituto L'Orientale" in Naples (1988/93) High school diploma - Technical Institute for Tourism "Flavio Gioia" of Amalfi (1987) Member of the Center of Culture and History of Amalfi (since 1993) 4**** Hotel receptionist - Amalfi Coast (1995-2000) I am not a driver. Michele was a brilliant guide who went to great lengths to customise our tour to suit my elderly mum. His passion and knowledge of Amalfi is immense and he was very entertaining and personable. This tour was the perfect start to our stay on the Amalfi coast. I learned so much about the history of the region, it put many things into context. Michele helped us explore St...

Hello Tamara! I really thank you so much for your splendid review!!! Amalfi is my hometown and I love it deeply! I hope you enjoy all your holiday in 'Lone' of Amalfi, which is so close to my house and lemon farm in 'Pastena'! Thank you one more time, and kisses to your Mom!

Ravello was great, but unexpectedly our organized tour had already visited there so we came up with a new plan. Michele was flexible when we asked him if he would instead guide us on the PATH OF LEMONS, just south of Amalfi. We took it slow and totally enjoyed the walk amongst the lemon groves and the views of the coast. Two-thirds of the way, a 5th generation local...

Our tour of Paestum with Michele was a highlight of our month long stay in Italy. Michele was knowledgeable, arranged a driver to take us from Amalfi (at an extra cost which we happily paid), and guided us through the museum and entire Paestum sight which was outstanding. He then had reserved a table for us for lunch at a local buffalo cheese producer which was also...

Michele is a recommend from start to finish. He met us as we arrived on the ferry with a sign; thus meeting was easy. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of not only Amalfi but Italy as a whole. His English was near perfect and when there was a misunderstanding, which was rare, he was sure to clear it up. His connection to the way of life in Amalfi and the...
