Guide #41896
Hi! Let's experience Guatemala in an out-of-tourists-scope way. I love the countryside, its lifestyle and outdoors activities but I'm devoted to living culture. Therefore I decided to study something different than the conventional careers and that was it! I'm a licensed Tour Guide since 2004, a graduated Archaeologist since 2011 and since 2010 I've been able to combine these two areas when started teaching the courses of History, Archaeology, Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism in several rural communities, universities and educative establishments around Guatemala. All of these experiences together allowed me to know off-the-beaten-path destinations and making friends! But the most important thing has been expanding my vision of how cultural and natural richness is being managed but specially about Guatemala's social reality. And as I myself am a traveler, I totally understand time can be just not enough when visiting beautiful places as those in my country! So, when travelling with me, you'll get: - Knowledgeable guide and fluently in English/Spanish. - Patience and flexibility to experience Guatemala (history, traditional values, sharing with local people, nature landscapes, etc. ). - Amazing off-the-beaten-path destinations. - Comfortable vehicle and enough space for luggage. - Convenient and safe places for intermediate stops during the transferring. - Access to ongoing archaeological investigations, restricted museum collections and restricted areas in wildlife conservation centers. - Someone willing and ready to assist you and show you Guatemala. - Tour guide license - Archaeologist - Cultural Property Manager - Driver license Type C - Don't go hiking to the crater of Pacaya / Fuego Volcanoes, it's prohibited, but only permitted areas. - Don't support any offensive behaviour or discrimination against indigenous people. - Don't stop at places excluded of the tour schedule if unsafe.

This was a great tour visiting a local coffee farm. We learned about growing coffee, harvesting and roasting the beans. The owners are a friendly local family who have built up a successful small business. It was a pleasure spending time with them and experiencing a little bit of local Guatemalan life. Another fun day with Laura!

Really loved this experience with you! "Hiked" the skirts of the Agua volcano to know the coffe plantation, you also had the chance to harvest some coffee beans!!! Thanks for being daring and adventurous!!!
We had a great day with Laura. She is so knowledgeable about Guatemala's history and culture and really helped us get a feeling for this wonderful country and its people. She is very flexible and easy to talk to. Highly recommended.

Thank you very much Mary and Graham! It was a pleasure to meet you and spend the day with you. Fortunately, we planned really well our transfer from Guatemala City to Antigua, and the walking tour was great too.

Thanks for visiting Antigua with me.
Laura was a joy to tour Antigua with and extremely knowledgeable about Guatemalan history. We love touring the local markets and Laura did a great job walking us through both the outdoor and indoor marketplaces. We ended the tour with coffee near the convent bridge and got the iconic picture of Volcano Agua through the arch. Laura was very good with communicating to us...

Hello Brad!!! It was a pleasure to have you and share with you and family, definitively Antigua needs more than one day and Guatemala City is also worth to tour! I'm very glad my reccomendation was useful, I'll definitively need to create a tour that includes Sublime. Kind regards, Laura.
