Whether you're chasing cultural highs or pursuing nature's pleasure, treading lightly or veering off the beaten path, there's a good chance you'll find what you are looking for here. Guatemala is a small country offering so much. So much that you will need to come back! Hola amigos! My name is Daniela, an entrepreneur and a professional, passionate local guide from Guatemala. I have over 15 years of experience in the sustainable tourism and community development sector. For the past 10 years I've been leading private group tours not only in my country but throughout the Central American and Southern Mexican region for different international travel companies. I'd never thought that guiding would become such a rewarding experience. Meeting so many people from different corners of the world, learning their stories and travel experiences, and in return, teach the rich cultural and natural heritage of my country and others, is what I enjoy the most about being a tour guide. I have a small adventure travel company called "Landscapes Tours' that was born in 2020 during pandemic times to promote meaningfull- wellness hikes and treks around the country. I also run a small enterprise that uses traditional textiles handmade by Mayan artisans from La Antigua. Through this endeavor I seek to support local craftsmanship, preserve ancient artforms and provide sustainable job opportunities for women. If you like to venture the local way, visit traditional towns, support community-based projects and get involved in different activities, then my tours are the perfect fit for you! All tours are private and personalized. This means I can tailor-make any itinerary based upon your personal needs and interests. I'll be glad to provide you with authentic travel experiences and genuine intercultural exchanges to better understand the Maya culture and its people. Certified tour guide specialized in Ecotourism- Licensed by INGUAT (Guatemala Tourism Board) # 1795 Msc. in Sustainable Rural Development & Environmental Management

Antigua is a fascinating town with a lot to see for one day! Besides visiting its most emblematic landmarks, local markets and learning its history during colonial times, we will also discover 2 of my favorite villages, each one with something unique to share. Our adventure starts in San Miguel Escobar for a coffee tour where you'll experience a day in the life of a farmer and will learn all about Guatemalan coffee from the bean to the cup. We will even visit our farmer's house. For lunch, we'll head to Antigua's main plaza for a traditional meal. On our way to the next village, we'll stop at a locally owned jade store for a short workshop where you'll learn all about this amazing stone which was very important to the ancient Mayan civilization. Finally, we will explore San Antonio Aguas Calientes, a small picturesque town well-known for its unique quality textiles. Here, you'll be able to learn and appreciate Maya women weaving with the backstrap loom technique at the local cooperative.
