Full day trip takes you from one end of Lake Atitlan to the other. Travel by private boat to the villages of San Marcos, San Juan and Santiago, with time to explore each village.  Easy walking involved.
Your first stop is San Marcos, where we stop for a walking tour and optional cliff jumping. Then we depart the north shore for San Juan, the "Swiss village" of Lake Atitlan. You will spend approximately 2 hours on a guided walking tour where you visit art galleries, woman's weaving cooperatives, and a medicinal and curative plant garden. Lunch is at a local comedor.
Your third stop is Santiago. The bay of Santiago is a photographer's dream. We take a tour along the shore of the bay before we start our walking tour. Your first stop is a visitor center that offers insight into the life of the Tzutujile Maya. There are interpretive displays on the history of the traje (traditional clothing), spiritual beliefs and Maximon. We we tour the local church, market, historical sites, and visit Maximon.

Hiking The Active Pacaya Volcano Private Tour

Pacaya volcano is one of the three active volcanoes in Guatemala, for that reason, this is a trip you can't miss while your trip to Guatemala.
The level of difficulty is easy, basically, we can do the hike in 3 hours, exploring and enjoying the beautiful landscape of the surrounding villages as well as the other volcanoes, such as; Agua, Fuego and Acatenango volcano.

Pacaya volcano is located one and a half hour far from Antigua Guatemala, the energy of this volcano will make you feel alive, during the road you will see how speciall is the place and its people. A community well organized to show guatemalans and foreiners what is to live with a volcano as a neighbour.

We love to take marshmallows or bringing our frying pan to prepare some eggs!

Looking for a fun local experience in Antigua? We're going to experience a ride in the Guatemalan way by heading up in a tuk-tuk to Cerro de la Cruz, where we'll enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of this colonial city. Here we'll take fun pics with the Agua Volcano as the background!

Once we're back to the Centre, we'll explore the main streets by walking from Capuchina's Convent to the famous Santa Catalina's Arch and to the Mermaids Fountain in the Central Park! Along the way we'll see baroque style buildings an. Did you know this type of architecture made Antigua become a World Heritage city listed by UNESCO in 1979? At the Capitanes Generales Palace I'll tell you the legend of La Tatuana, a witch that escaped from prison by sailing on a boat she herself drew on the walls!

Did you know that "Camionetas" are the public transportation vehicles throughout Guatemala? They originally come from the United States and/or Canada but, upon arriving in Guatemala, they are uniquely decorated.

During this tour, we will board a bus at a bus stop as locals do and depart to San Juan del Obispo. Upon arrival, we will visit a chocolate factory, where we will learn the process of turning chocolate from a plant into a consumable product. We will also visit an artisanal wine shop, where we can taste níspero wine made by the locals, and we will be explained the entire production process. Lastly we will go the museum, which was the residence of Guatemala's first bishop, and the central square.

Hike the Upper Mayan Trail, Cloud Forest, and Solola market

Full day trip takes you high into the mountains on a strenuous hike ending in Solola. Explore the village of Santa Cruz la Laguna. Hike through maize fields, coffee fields, old growth forest, and into the cloud forest. You can visit a sacred Mayan site where rituals are performed by the local shamans, and make your own offering at the alter.
This rugged and remote area has barely been touched by the outside world. Our hike takes us 2500 feet above the waters of Atitlan for breath taking views and pristine scenery. You walk though a remote Mayan village high in the mountains where we find the road. You hike along ancient paths that have been used by the Kachekel Maya for centuries. You will view villagers going about their daily life, encounter farmers tending their maize and coffee fields, and see some of the most magnificent scenery in the world, with the hike ending in Solola. You visit one of the largest markets in Guatemala, then travel by private vehicle to Pana.
