As a history major and local guide, I specialize in private tours of Hue, especially the Imperial City, the royal tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, ancient temples, local neighborhoods, and the peaceful Perfume River. Hue was Vietnam’s imperial capital from 1802 to 1945, and every palace, gate, tomb, and garden has a story to tell. A boat trip on the Perfume River is also one of my favorite ways to introduce visitors to the quiet charm of Hue.
