Ky Anh Tunnel & Cham Towers - Half Day Vietnam War Tour

On this tour, we'll step inside the Ky Anh Tunnel, constructed in 1965 as a hidden bomb shelter, and used as a clinic and a warehouse when fighting the US army. As we explore, I'll share some of the strategies our soldiers used to survive the Vietnam war. With an impressive length of 32 km, around half a meter of width & roughly 1 metre of height, the tunnel zigzags & bends around Thach Tan Village, running along bamboo clusters, bushes & mounds of straw. We'll also go further into the past by visiting the ancient Chien Dan tower complex. There, we'll admire the glorious Champa Empire, marvelling at the concealed beauty of the temples, sculptures and impressive friezes from between the 9th & 11th centuries, worshipping the Shiva Gods of Hinduism. -After picking you up from an agreed location, we'll embark on an roughly hour long drive towards the ancient Chien Dan towers. -On arrival, we'll go inside the 3 towers that were used as a temple a thousand years ago, where we'll see statues from deities from Hinduism, as well as animal shaped sculptures around the towers. -Afterwards, we'll go under the Ky Anh tunnel like Viet Cong soldiers, and we'll proceed to visit the hospital, commander tunnel, kitchen tunnel and even the bamboo tree tunnel. -At one part of the tunnel, I'm going to provide sticky rice for you to taste this local snacks that soldiers ate in the tunnel as well. -At last, we'll stop by the Heroic Mother statue, where I'll tell you the story of the sacrifice her 11 children made fighting against teh US troops during the Vietnam war. -Finally, I'll drop you off back where I picked you up from.
