Dear friends who will come to Vietnam and especially Hue City. My name is Thanh Ha (English name is Dylan). I was born and raised in a poor rural area and attached to fields in Thanh Hoa province. In 1991 when I was 10 years old, my family was moved to Hue. Everything was so new and I was shocked when my neighbours called me Viet Cong and despised me. I was very sad and disappointed, then I asked my father why and he told me: You have to study hard and learn history a lot and you will understand when you grow up. Since then I have been hard-working and passionate about the history of Vietnam divided by the war. When I was growing up I became serious about it, I tried to read books and meet local old people to learn and understand the culture of Hue people, it really attracted me to become a guide later. I can share and recount what belongs to the tragic and heroic past of the Hue people. Up to this point, I have been working as a guide for more than 10 years. I really love this job and always have a wish to meet and share with tourists visiting Hue about history, local culture, royal culture, local food. . .
