It took only 3 days until I realized I would stay in Vietnam for good. Its my passion to show you why. Giving tours is something I have been doing for a while, but I joined this platform recently. So do check out my Google Reviews to see what other guests thought about going a day along with me! https://maps.app.goo.gl/KCNw3WWCS2J3fvxeA at ExploreVNdaily. My name is Zeb, and actually becoming a local took more time but many years later, I can now proudly say that I speak Tiếng Việt, understand and participate in local culture as much, or more, than even my Vietnamese wife and still enjoy it every day! These days I mostly go by my Vietnamese name Duy :) Ever since my graduation I have worked as a teacher which means explaining in a story form is something I enjoy and never get tired of. My constant learning and discovery of local Vietnamese life combined with my teaching background naturally led me to become a tour guide. Now I get to be outside in my community, sharing the what, why and how! Back in November 2017 I started my Vietnamese journey in Hanoi. Its the place that showed me Vietnamese life; culture, scooters, Vietnamese cuisine.. and eventually, love. Fast forward and I have been happily married since 2022. My journey has now brought me, since that same year, to Hội An as a my new home base. Both Hue and Da Nang to my North and Tam Ky to the south and everything in between are places I know as well as my own backyard. Each place with their own history, culture and local food. One of the great things about Vietnam, is that no matter how small the area is, if you know the locals, you will find something unique! What makes my tours special is my ability to connect Vietnamese ancient customs and unseen nuances to your daily experience while being in Vietnam. Making more sense of this country, while having fun along the way in relatable language.

Join me down memory lane and leave with more understanding and a increased connection with this beautiful region! Most of the people visiting Vietnam have some ideas of its history. You see the temples and traditions here and there. And of course you have heard about 'the war'. But what is the real story behind these first impressions? How has Buddhism, local culture and the Vietnamese struggle for independence truly affected Da Nang and its people in order to create the vibrant Vietnam as we see it today? This day tour will connect all of these pieces together into an active and lively experience. Going past the well known highlights of Da Nang (the Han river, Lady Buddha, Marble Mountains, the old centre, etc.) but besides simply seeing these places, it will also give you the nuance, importance and local stories that make these places the highlights that they have now become. Ideally starting at 10:00, ending at 17:30. Da Nang's history is extensive, and so is this tour! Times are however flexible. - Start with coffee and an introduction chat. - Visit the Champa Museum to introduce the forgotten history of Central Vietnam. - Lunch break at Bánh bèo Bà Bé for a traditional treat. - Drive to the old French Citadel, for the Da Nang significance of French occupation. - Cross the Han River, with stunning views of the bay and what Da Nang has grown into over the last decade. - Drive on to the Dong Dinh Museum, a small cute museum tucked away in the Son Tra jungle. - Drive the last bit up towards the Linh Ứng Pagoda to see Lady Buddha and discuss the significance for this region as a stopping point between India and China. - Have a food break along the coast to load up on energy for the last push at the beautiful Marble Mountains. - Go into the Động Âm Phủ cave at the Marble Mountains and learn about its history during the American war. - End of the tour, return by car.

Transportation is done through a local taxi company with a private driver. My wife and I have been using their services for years. If the guests have extensive experience with motor bikes, this can also be discussed.
