On this tour, I'll contextualize you about the Champa Kingdom and how it influenced our local culture, including our style of cuisine, both in the past and in present day. You will have the unique opportunity to visit the home of the descendents of a royal chef, and taste dishes that have been served for hundreds of years. -Once we’ve gathered in front of the Museum of Cham Sculpture, we’ll wander to the 17th century An Long Pagoda (oldest one in the city) for a visit. -Afterwards, we’ll explore the ancient local market. -We’ll then walk through a hidden alley to visit a local family home. -Once in the home, you'll get to taste up to 5 kinds of homemade rice cakes wrapped & steamed with green banana leaves. -Later, we’ll walk through the Fresco village to see beautiful wall art painted on traditional houses with family altars used in ancestor worshipping practices. -Next, we'll visit the nearby French & Spanish Memorial War Park. -We'll then visit another local family home, where you'll get to taste small portions of grilled beef with petal leaves, pork rib on steak with lemongrass, crispy pancakes & BBQ noodles. -Later we’ll stop by a local restaurant to enjoy the best dessert of Da Nang. -We’ll say our goodbyes after visiting the Phap Lam Pagoda where we'll admire Da Nang's most beautiful Buddhism art.
