It took only 3 days until I realized I would stay in Vietnam for good. Its my passion to show you why. Giving tours is something I have been doing for a while, but I joined this platform recently. So do check out my Google Reviews to see what other guests thought about going a day along with me! https://maps.app.goo.gl/KCNw3WWCS2J3fvxeA at ExploreVNdaily. My name is Zeb, and actually becoming a local took more time but many years later, I can now proudly say that I speak Tiếng Việt, understand and participate in local culture as much, or more, than even my Vietnamese wife and still enjoy it every day! These days I mostly go by my Vietnamese name Duy :) Ever since my graduation I have worked as a teacher which means explaining in a story form is something I enjoy and never get tired of. My constant learning and discovery of local Vietnamese life combined with my teaching background naturally led me to become a tour guide. Now I get to be outside in my community, sharing the what, why and how! Back in November 2017 I started my Vietnamese journey in Hanoi. Its the place that showed me Vietnamese life; culture, scooters, Vietnamese cuisine.. and eventually, love. Fast forward and I have been happily married since 2022. My journey has now brought me, since that same year, to Hội An as a my new home base. Both Hue and Da Nang to my North and Tam Ky to the south and everything in between are places I know as well as my own backyard. Each place with their own history, culture and local food. One of the great things about Vietnam, is that no matter how small the area is, if you know the locals, you will find something unique! What makes my tours special is my ability to connect Vietnamese ancient customs and unseen nuances to your daily experience while being in Vietnam. Making more sense of this country, while having fun along the way in relatable language.

As someone who has lived in Vietnam 8 years, I can guarantee you do not simply come across these dishes by yourself. But I can take you! No phở, banh mi or spring rolls during this food tour! Lovely dishes. But hey, you will eat plenty of that on your trip anyway. Only the most local dishes at the most local places. And all in the older part of the bustling Da Nang city, at walking distance. Expect loads of flavors and diversity, while not getting stuffed full. The dishes were chosen by me to give you a wide taste of the authentic Da Nang food scene without overeating yourself. You will be full and satisfied, not overwhelmed and in a food coma ;) Plus the short walks in between (30 minutes total) will help as well! This food stroll is, you guessed it, by foot. Strolling around the old part of town. Perfect start would be at 16:00, ending around 19:00. But as morning or lunch it is also possible as most of the locations are open from 07:00 to 19:00. The food tour includes 6 different dishes + a dessert. - Start outside at the Chợ Cồn (market with a food court) to show the different wares at a Vietnamese market and try out 1 dish at the food court. Two options given, as one of the two might not be for everyone. - After this energetic food court we walk further south to eat bánh bèo and such, my favorite place with many tiny dishes. A place worthy of trying 4 different, banana paper packed, goodies. - Last but not least, my favorite bún mắm . Bun mam is super local, but the taste can be an acquired one, so this will sure bring out some strong opinions! We drink a tra da to finish and end the tour with a local black desert that tastes better than it looks ;)

The total amount of walking will be between 25 and 30 minutes. This is between the three food locations, all in the older part of Da Nang. We end the food stroll where we started it, at Cho Con.
217 Hùng Vương, Đà Nẵng, Đà Nẵng, 550000, Vietnam
We will be meeting in front of the Indovina IVB bank close to the Cho Con market. This is on the West side of the market building in the Hung Vuong street. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Euv3w5VDwcVy6nUa6
